Check This Out: Teaser Poster for Joe Dante's The Hole in 3D

No, The Hole isn't a new porno, it's a creepy new thriller from director Joe Dante, the man who brought us Gremlins and Piranha and other great movies. ShockTillYouDrop has unveiled our first high res look at the poster from the movie featuring the "hole" in the basement in which all the "bad guys" come from. Much like Small Soldiers, one of Dante's other past movies, The Hole is actually made for the younger teenage demographic, but it's still creepy. I got to see an early trailer at Comic-Con and it looks okay, not anything amazing, but just because it's Joe Dante, I'm mildly excited for it. Anyway, check the poster out below!

The Hole, filmed in 3-D, centers on Susan (Teri Polo), a mother who moves with her teen sons to a rural house where the three are forced to face their fears after discovering a bottomless hole in the basement.

The Hole is directed by one-of-a-kind filmmaker Joe Dante, of films like Piranha, The Howling, Gremlins,Explorers, Innerspace, The 'burbs, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and Small Soldiers. The screenplay was written by Mark L. Smith, of only Séance and Vacancy previously. The Hole was film independently and doesn't currently have a distributor, although we expect to hear more about its release plans very soon!

Taylor Kitsch is Really Excited About More Potential Gambit

So do we! Canadian actor Taylor Kitsch, who played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is ecstatic about his character's potential return. Rotten Tomatoes caught up with Kitsch at Cannes, where he was previously unaware that a sequel had even been greenlit. "I hadn't heard that was going to happen! You have my brain going now about what I'd love to do with Gambit!" And that's just the start of his enthusiasm, as Kitsch really goes off. "I'm just excited to go deeper into Gambit. It's a flattering thing when people say that the only shitty part about the character is we didn't see enough of him. If that's the case, bring it on."

Unfortunately, Kitsch didn't confirm whether or not he'd officially be back as Gambit in the Japan-set Wolverine 2 - but we're hoping for the best. Gambit has been a fan favorite to see brought to the big screen since the X-Men series first kicked off in 2000. The "Ragin' Cajun", as he's also known, was seen briefly in the movie, at least in a scene where Logan travels to New Orleans to ask him about the "island." We got a glimpse at some of his powers - he has the ability to manipulate kinetic energy - meaning he can hurl playing cards with an immense amount of force. And he loves to use that bo staff, which we also saw.

"He has so many more colours to explore. I want to go dark with that cat. There are so many things I want people to see of him and he really is his own deal… If I can have some moments where you go deeper into Gambit's back-story and why he was the way he was at that poker table — that's a fun thing to explore." Kitsch is already making comic book fans foam at their mouth with that statement. Sadly, Fox hasn't made any plans for a Gambit spin-off, yet, though it could happen sometime in the future. Or so we really hope. From the brief glimpse of Gambit that we got in Wolverine, I'm all for seeing more of Remy LeBeau.

Kevin Feige's Quick Update on Upcoming Marvel Projects

Now that we've kicked off the summer movie season, let's check in with Marvel's president of production Kevin Feige. Well, we don't really have his phone number (that would be awesome), but Empire did get in touch with him, and did get him to give an update on at least two important upcoming Marvel projects - Thor and The Avengers. A few weeks ago, Kenneth Branagh finally confirmed that they'll be shooting Thor starting next January. Feige confirms the same and adds that they're working on some "spectacular animatics already for our first action scene" as well as "a rewrite of the draft" to have ready fairly soon.

But most importantly, what about casting. We've heard plenty about the production, but all we want to know is who they've cast. "We will probably be having cast announcements in the next month or so on Thor," Feige says. "We're looking to cast Loki and Odin soon, and the main female role. And we'll also hopefully have lockdown shortly, gearing towards the beginning of production, which will be early next year. So I think there will be a lot of announcements between now and then." Good! And don't forget that in March, we rumored that Natalie Portman was in, although last I heard, the position of Thor was still open.

And last but not least, what's the latest on The Avengers - the only movie in Hollywood that's actually slated for 2012? "Zak Penn is already on board The Avengers [as writer] and he’s spending a lot of his time looking into what we're doing with Iron Man, Thor and Captain America, seeing how we're tying it all together. And he's beginning to outline the script now – he'll be doing that over the summer." Unlike some other Marvel projects (e.g. Wolverine), they definitely aren't rushing this, and are giving plenty of time to Zak so that he can get a feel for the other three movies that will tie in. First Official Photo from Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2!

Exactly as Jon Favreau promised on twitter, the first official photo from Iron Man 2 has been unveiled tonight over at USA Today. Although I wasn't expecting to see much, this is actually an awesome first photo, giving us a big hint that Tony Stark may be building a "Hall of Armor" of Iron Man suits, just like in the comics. But of course, we won't know more details about that or even know how many different suits he has until we get to see Iron Man 2 next summer. "It's never easy with summer movies, but we're trying to keep as much a surprise as possible," Favreau says. Without further ado, check out the first official photo!

Iron Man 2 takes place "six months after Stark revealed his identity as Iron Man" at the end of the first movie. Favreau explains that the story this time will indeed involve a little bit of that public relations crisis. "How many superheroes are open about their true identities?" Favreau asks. "We wanted to play with that idea. But it obviously has consequences — in his relationships, on the team. There are a lot of areas we can explore." As for the villain(s) or how much we'll get to see of S.H.I.E.L.D., Favreau won't be talking about that. But it's good to keep everything so mysterious, right? I know it definitely makes me more excited!
